CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING & REFUND POLICY OF THE CORPORATION

A) Cancellation of Bookings:

1. The intimation/ request for cancellation should be addressed to concerned Tour & Travel Office or be sent to the e-mail address: info@jktdc.co.in

2. Tariff Rs.500-Rs.1000: If request for cancellation of any booking involving Tariff of Rs.500-Rs.1000 is received within 24 hours of the Check-in time, the guest will not be entitled to any refund, however, if the request is received within 48 hours but not less than 24 hours, an amount of Rs. 300/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount of booking and if the request is received before 48 hours, an amount of Rs. 200/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount booking.

3.Tariff Rs.1100-Rs.2000: If request for cancellation of any booking involving Tariff of Rs.1100-Rs.2000 is received within 24 hours of the Check-in time, the guest will not be entitled to any refund, however, if the request is received within 48 hours but not less than 24 hours, an amount of Rs. 700/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount of booking and if the request is received before 48 hours, an amount of Rs. 500/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount booking.

4. Tariff Rs.2100-Rs.4000: If request for cancellation of any booking involving Tariff of Rs.2100-Rs.4000 is received within 24 hours of the Check-in time, the guest will not be entitled to any refund, however, if the request is received within 48 hours but not less than 24 hours, an amount of Rs. 1000/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount of booking and if the request is received before 48 hours, an amount of Rs. 700/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount booking.

5. Tariff Rs.4100 and above:If request for cancellation of any booking involving Tariff of Rs.4100 and above is received within 24 hours. of the Check-in time, the guest will not be entitled to any refund, however, if the request is received within 48 hours. but not less than 24 hours., an amount of Rs. 2000/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount of booking and if the request is received before 48 hours., an amount of Rs. 1500/room/day shall be deducted from the total amount booking.

6. If the request for cancellation is received in case of Road Closure or any natural calamity, Cancellation Charges shall be applicable @ 10% of the normal tariff involved.

7. Partial Cancellations: The partial cancellations shall be dealt with as per the Cancellation Policy, however in case the guest requests for partial cancellation in his reservation only after the guest checks-in, in such cases each individual subsequent day shall be separately dealt with while making refund after deduction of Cancellation Charges.

8. Cancellations of Package TouRs.: If a request is made for cancellation of Package Tour is intimated within 10 days from the date of check-in, no refund shall be granted in such cases. Requests made before 10 days shall entitle the guest for refund of 70% of the Package Cost.

9. Cancellations of Dormitory Accommodation: In case request for cancellation of Dormitory accommodation is received within 48hRs., no refund shall be granted, however if the request is received within 72 hRs., 50% refund shall be granted and if the request is received before 72 hours., 75% shall be refunded in favour of the guest.

10. JKTDC reserves the right to make amendments in these rules without prior notice.

11. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of J&K Courts only.

Rescheduling of Booking Dates

I. If any request for change in reservation is received, the same shall have to pay additional amount as per follows;

II. Requests received within 24 hours.for rescheduling of dates shall not be entertained.

III. If the written request is received in case of Road Closure or any natural calamity immediately at the time of such eventuality within 24 hRs., no change charges shall be applicable.

IV. The booking can be changed only once and once changed cannot be cancelled.

V. In case any request is received for up-gradation of rooms/ cottages, the guest shall have to cancel his booking first and shall have to bear change charges plus the cost of difference in tariff involved there-of.

VI. If a request for change in dates of a Package tour is received before 5 days, the guest shall have to pay additional payment @ 10% of the Package Cost.

VII. All Changes are subject to the availability of the accommodation at a particular destination on a particular date. All the previous rules & regulations pertaining to cancellation/ Change of Booking are, hereby, supeRs.eded by this revised policy.
