Udhampur is a city and a municipal council in Udhampur District in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated among lush green forests of Eucalyptus, it is the second-largest city of the Jammu region and the fourth-largest city in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Named after Raja Udham Singh, it serves as the district capital and the Northern Command headquartersof the Indian Army. A Forward Base Support Unit (FBSU) of the Indian Air Force is also stationed here. Udhampur is used by the Armed Forces as a transit point between Jammu and Srinagar when travelling by road (National Highway Number 1A).

The culture of this area is PAHARI which resembles the culture of other areas of Duggardesh. The other part of the district has Dogra culture. Dogri is the main language spoken by the people of the district. The Dogri spoken here is known for its sweetness in tone. Their main language is DOGRI/PAHARI. The language is the rural and hilly areas has maintained its native purity, accent and sweetness. Gojri is also spoken by the Gujjar Community settled here and there. However, Dogri is main language spoken in the district. The district is culturally an integrated part of Jammu region and all important religious fairs like Lohri, Maha Shivratri, Id-ul-Fitr, Holi, Ramnavmi, Baisakhi, Basantpanchami, Martyr's day of Guru Arjun Dev, Raksha Bandhan, Janam Ashtami, Mahanavami, Dussehra, Diwali, id-ul-zuha, Guru Ravi Dass's b’day, Mahatama gandhi's b’day Guru Govind Singh's b’day, Chacha Nehru's birthday. Above all, the Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated with great enthusiasm. Adgan is a medium size village located in Akhnoor of Jammu district, Jammu and Kashmir with total 50 families residing. The Adgan village has population of 261 of which 146 are males while 115 are females as per Population Census 2011. The holy shrine of Siar Baba Temple is famous in Kashmir. It is found on the banks of Chenab River, which is around 6km from Reasi town that lies at an elevation of around 466 metres. Reasi is also a district in Jammu and Kashmir. It was earlier called Bhimgarh and was established by Bhim dev. Hindu population is a dominant community in the region. Krimchi is a tiny village in the Udhampur district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This district is famous for its mineral deposits.

Krimchi is the site of one of the oldest temple complexes of Jammu. Believed to have been constructed in the 11th - 12th century AD, this group of temples, also locally known as the Pandava Temples. Consists of 4 large and 3 small temples dedicated to Lord Shiv. The architecture of the temples shows distinct Greek (Hellenic) influences. As per the legends, Raja Kichak of Mahabharat was said to be the creator of town Krimchi and the Kingdom. It is also said that Pandavas while in exile remained there for a long period.

Tourist attractions at Krimchi include the ruins of Three Ancient Temples. These three temples are perhaps the oldest temples in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. These temples are situated on a stone complex and a small stream flows nearby. The architecture on these ruins suggests a very strong Greek influence. The architecture on the walls of these temples is abstract. There are sculptures of deities like Ganesh, Shiva and Parvati. The main temple is around 50 feet high. On their way to these temples, pilgrims usually stop over at the sarai Krimchi. Travel to Krimchi automatically means a tour to Sudhmahadev-Mantalai Shrine.
